Iran has hanged a young woman who was convicted of murder when she was a minor, her lawyer said Saturday, drawing condemnation from international human rights groups who have sought to end capital punishment for juvenile offenders.
Authorities executed the 23-year-old woman Friday in northern Iran without informing her lawyer or allowing the family to be present, said the lawyer, Mohammad Mostafaei. She was 17 at the time the crime was committed, in 2003.

Zero has been more than friendly with Iran.
My guess is they see rebelliousness as a problem that can be contagious, particularly among the youth. Rebels must, therefore, die. Makes more of an impact than sending them off to Outward Bound Reeducation Experience.

2. To prevent their Iran-Iraq baby boom (now in late teens and 20s) from going liberal.
The kids are coming home from gitmo....girls are being lynched and we can’t get information from known terrorists because garden hoses are cruel and unusual punishment, under this administration....

I believe that those who are stoned are killed 100% of the time. They start with small stones and work their way up to larger stones and rocks. It’s torture before death.
