Apparently many people here have never been to Mexico or if so only the resorts and are living in lala land.

Mexico is a dump. It is a dump because of the culture. The physical entity of Mexico has immense resources, two coasts, oil, minerals, arable land. But the culture has made it a drug-ridden, feudal dump. In fact one only has to travel through the neighboring states of New Mexico, or Arizona, to see it. Trashiest states in the union.

How obvious is it? Is it racist to recognize a tragedy of human depravity or ignorance that has consumed a society? Is that the kind of cultural diversity that Americans want to embrace?

Mexico, as a society, should be led to solve its own problems without invading a neighboring nation (which has been a generous one at that). And the American politician should be insisting on that. Any Mexican citizen should come to the US through the front door, just like every other legitimate world immigrant.

Carlos Slim is laughing in his bathrobe at the stupidity and naivete of American government. Viruses ARE transmitted through lack of hygiene.

The Council on Foreign Relations is the most arrogant, and inept, cabal of elitists on the planet.

That’s a fact.

Mexico is just another example of the mentality that keeps third world countries third world countries. They do not make their own wealth, but sit around demanding that someone else supply it, as though it's their right to the fruits of someone else's labor.

Sure, there are inequities between American and Mexican culture. But those differences by themselves do not endow the lesser of the two with any demands, nor the greater with any obligations.

We made our own money. Make yours. And quit pretending you have a right to come here just because you want to.
