Update From Senator John Cornyn However, I am encouraged by President Obamas willingness to work on comprehensive immigration reform this year, and I am ready to begin working to fix our broken immigration system in a way that respects the rule of law, national security and economic security. The Judiciary Committees Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee, where I serve as the ranking member, held the first, of what is sure to be many, hearings this week on comprehensive immigration reform. Certainly any legislation must promote economic prosperity in Texas and throughout the United States, and be consistent with our American values.

I hate to say it but we did this to ourselves.
Most Republicans are willfully ignorant on the positions of their congressment and senators, beliving press releases over records and the word of the leftist media. They can't be bothered to do research on line.
Meanwhile we have the single issue retards who sought to punish the GOP by voting Democrat or staying home. This just made America look even more left-wing, helping to push this vote.
