Reeling congressional Republicans today launched a new effort days after their latest setback -- the defection of Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, putting Democrats within reach of potentially being able to push legislation through the Senate without a single Republican vote.
House GOP Whip Eric Cantor announced that the National Council for a New America will hold its first event on Saturday with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, who ran last year and could run again in 2012; Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, another possible 2012 contender; former Governor Jeb Bush, the former president's brother; and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, a former national GOP chairman.
The council appears a way to rebut Democratic portrayals of the GOP as the "party of no" by pulling together a cohesive policy strategy by the opposition.

I dont think Conservatives have achieved getting their message across to the Republicans yet. I suspect conservatives are a bunch of losers or else they would run for office, win primaries and win general elections.
All I hear is whining about the republican elites. Whining is for losers.

. . .
the defection of Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, putting Democrats within reach of potentially being able to push legislation through the Senate without a single Republican vote.Earth to the Boston Globe - perhaps you have failed to notice this, but the Dems have been doing this anyway. Specter just admitted who he really is.
Hopefully, Snowe and Collins will soon join him.

I like Romney because he had "good" ideas such as covering up the BIG-DIG for political contributions,
and his imposition of both socialized medicine and gay marriage on citizens who thought he was a Republican.
Romney's ideas of fabricating fake law enforcement badges for his team,
and backstabbing GOP candidates such as Gov.Palin,
and raising taxes while calling them 'fees', are also "good" ideas, too.
I really think it quite remarkable that Romney, as Gov of Massachusetts,
managed to raise taxes even on out-of-state New Hampshire residents, too.
How Romney is that?

If you compare your life accomplishments to Jeb Bushs, I suspect you come up short.
Remember quotes about glass houses and casting the first stone.

"The council appears a way to rebut Democratic portrayals of the GOP as the "party of no" by pulling together a cohesive policy strategy by the opposition." Idiots. We want an opposition party to fight these socialist bastards, not cave-in to them. Romney, McCain et al are yellow backed spineless wimps.
If you don't LOUDLY say NO to socialism, you're not worth spit! What the hell good is the GOP if they have no fight!!

You 'anti-dentites' need to find another line to spittle. ‘Haters’ is overused by you Mittiac sycophants and mormonism apologists. Find Mitt Romney to be a disgusting liberal pretending to be a conservative is not on the same plain as hating the obsequious boob.

Oh give me a break with that same crybaby whine of ‘prejudice’ when someone doesn’t want Mitt. Most here don’t give a rats arse about his religion. What we do care about are his liberal ideas and record. Get over it already.

She is a little bogged down the idiots she is surrounded by.
I am a big Sarah fan, but she seems to be coming off the tracks right now. I don’t consider her serious at this point.
Hopefully she pulls it together in time for re-election and the primaries.

I've had issues w/ Perry, like the border fence.
But since he's up for reelection, he's been acting more Conservative.
I like Jindal as well, but Palin/Perry would make a sharp, attractive, articulate team.
I don't know if Perry could be a #2.
To: rwfromkansas
If he joins a RINO club, he’s a RINO.
