Republicans, including Romney, launch new [RINO] group

Reeling congressional Republicans today launched a new effort days after their latest setback -- the defection of Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, putting Democrats within reach of potentially being able to push legislation through the Senate without a single Republican vote.

House GOP Whip Eric Cantor announced that the National Council for a New America will hold its first event on Saturday with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, who ran last year and could run again in 2012; Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, another possible 2012 contender; former Governor Jeb Bush, the former president's brother; and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, a former national GOP chairman.

The council appears a way to rebut Democratic portrayals of the GOP as the "party of no" by pulling together a cohesive policy strategy by the opposition.

Mighty disappointed in Barbour if he’s teaming up with RINOs. Had high hopes for that boy.

Looks like maybe if the good ideas from each might be the stimulus we need. I will not shoot down any effort that might build a conservative ideology that could save America. I know the haters will wail and rave, but nothing is working so far, so give it a chance.

“Any where is Sarah Palin in this club?”

The GOP elite is deliberately ignoring her. They know that the others don’t stand a chance against beating Obama. They know that Sarah is the only one who can do it.

But they’re all stuck in their egos and simply don’t want to admit that there’s someone who can do the job FAR better than they ever could.

It will be great when WE THE PEOPLE ignore the desires of the GOP elite and bring forth our own candidate, the candidate that relates to the average American, the only one who can defeat Obama, the next President of the United States, Governor Sarah Palin of the great state of Alaska!!!!!

Only a fool could believe that having anyone named BUSH involved offers a chance to regain the confidence of the voting public.

McCain had an opportunity to stand up for America when he suspended his campaign to go to DC during the “financial crisis.” All he had to do was urge his colleagues to vote no on the trillion dollar socialist plunge and lead by example, but no he blew it. He would’ve saved us from this Marxist nightmare. Some hero. McCain is a horse’s ass.

...no thanks to Mitt.

And is it that you are so prejudice that Mitt did not have some good ideas. You are the kind that will shoot your foot just to promote your hate. Why don't the haters just back off and see what happens, or is that too much. Offering just hate never will help the GOP.

“This is a conversation with America.”

America is tired of “conversation” at this point guys. We want action.

The lineup of the apparent leadership includes McCain which IMO skews the credibility of the new organization.

There seems to be some RINO’s involved in those signing at the bottom of the letter as well.

I don’t think Conservatives have achieved getting their message across to the Republicans yet. Will have to try harder.

Gotta agree.
Mitt’s a well spoken, intelligent and accomplished leader.
Not my first choice by a long shot, but not someone to kick to the gutter either.

If you compare your life accomplishments to Jeb Bush’s, I suspect you come up short.

Don't know much about Cantor, so that only leaves Barbour that knows **it.

>>>McCain also addressed reports that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, his vice presidential pick last year, was not invited, saying that she could be involved.

“We’ve reached out to her,” he said. <<<

Translation: Governor Palin was too smart to wallow in the mud with this pack of RINOs.
