What am I missing here? 8 or 10 cases of flu and we’re closing schools all over the country?

I get that people in mexico are dying, but so far how many Americans have died? They just announced on tv another case in the houston area - a teenager - got over it and was ready to return to school but they finally got the results back and have closed her school.

“Pandemic” is not a question of “who will die,” but rather, “who will get it.”

This flu is pretty vicious and the chances are strong you and I will both catch it in a couple weeks.

I hope it fizzles, but sometimes they mutate into a more fatal form.

Typical flu fatality is .13%, Spanish flu was about 2.8%, early data from Mexico has a death toll near 6%.

Don’t remember, but it was a baby just shy of 2 years. I believe it was an Hispanic baby.

Maybe it was in Houston. I know it was a 23 month old baby of Hispanic origin in Texas. How about that.
