True. I ran some numbers (worked in emergency services for 30 years) and over fifty percent of murder victims were either stoned or drunk. Those stats were from Austin, TX from late eighties/early nineties.

There were, of course, the people who were just minding their own business and came across the path of the wrong person, but you can greatly increase your chances of being murdered by doing certain things and being around certain types of people.
