Obama Targets Tea Bags at Town Hall (President Criticizes Americans Again)
Politico ^ | Wednesday, April 29, 2008 | Alexander Burns

Posted on 04/29/2009 9:56:39 AM PDT by kristinn

At his 100th-day town hall meeting in St. Louis, Mo., President Obama took direct aim at the anti-tax “tea party” demonstrations that have cropped up over the last month – and took a veiled shot at FOX News Channel, at the cable news network closely associated with the protests.

Asked about fiscal discipline and entitlements reform, Obama seemed to be repressing a smile as he jabbed critics of his spending plans.

"Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I'm not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, Obama said, “let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.”

“But,” Obama continued, “let's not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act."

It’s the president’s most direct response so far to the protests that flared up in some locations around tax day, on April 15.

In his briefing that day, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters: “I don't know if there's a specific response to protests..I think you saw the president today talk about as candidate Obama promising to bring a tax cut to 95 percent of working families in America, and as president delivering that tax cut.”

OMG, WTH is TOTUS doing in my state???? We didn’t vote for him (our state barely went McCain/Palin, but, nevertheless, we DID!).

That man is so unpatriotic and so despicable; he has to bash freedom-loving Americans, in every way he can.

We’re gonna show him how angry we are with him, come the 2010 elections, when CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS take back Congress, and then 2012, when we elect a CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN President Sarah Palin!!!

How about we kill off Socialist Security? It's a ponzi scheme and it hasn't made people secure or independent.

No, he can’t handle the heat. But luckily he’s not smart enough to get out of the kitchen. In other words, keep his mouth shut.

Why don’t we start calling these events Patriot Parties? Because after all isn’t that what they are really about saving the Republic as a whole not any one single issue?

He has to demonize teaparty attendees, because it plays to his majority. The D strategy is to make conservatives look like loons, so that no one will want to be associated with conservatives. It’s working because the people are weak and incapable of thinking for themselves.

Just reminding those who he thinks are protesting his taxes that they are cashing “gummit” checks for Medicare and Social Security, and coming soon, the $250 checks. He is making sure he sprinkles enough cash around to suborn critics or at least have the option of accusing them of being hypocrites. The whole strategy is to force so many people and institutions to rely on government funds that they can’t credibly criticize him or his agenda.

The loon and his Loon-O-Tics are approaching a full stall. Spin to follow.

They have no epistemological rudder, and they are trying to use ailerons to control the crash, silly students, get a real PIC next time, or at least one who's hubby is.....

But notice the thin skin. I can't recall another President other than Clinton Loosing it over Rush that, calls out a certain media let alone citizens. This is not respect for the Office and is further reminder of how out of his league this awful man is.

The question is does he go Richard Millhouse and extract revenge by using such arms as the IRS to go after so called enemies of his agenda.

Obama doesn't take on anyone directly. He's passive aggressive. He's more like a high school captain of the cheer leading squad hiding behind her click for cover.

Yes, Obama, we all heard your SoS Clinton recently praising Margaret Sanger who advocated eugenics and your buddy Daschle who was almost made head of HHS who says Seniors "should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age".

"cut health care costs and stabilize Social Security"

And he'll do that by rationing health care to people over 65 and when they can't get care and die, then the government gets to keep all those thousands of dollars they were forced to turn over to them.

“let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.”

In the words of Bugs Bunny what a Maroon...

Ok...

So we remake GM in their image i.e. nationalization and unionization to cover up the sins of a huge liabilities in their Accounting Equation and keep it and Michigan alive by the printing presses. Yet this example is what is wrong with SSI and our Medical system, like GM, the Feds have made huge promises they can't keep.

They can't even fit GM, and we are going to let them abscond our 401(k)'s and socialize our medicine to continue the shell game and feed their dysfunctional need of total control?

The Lennie Kravitz song "Culta-Personality" for some reason is running through my head....

If Obama is unhappy now about the Tea-Bag Revolt, just wait until the Trillions given in “recovery stimulus” is converted into tax increases levied on American workers. Do the math. and weep.
