Today, the House is expected to pass the H.R. 1913 Hate Crime Bill, which some are calling a special rights bill for a special group of people. Proponents of the new federal Hate Crime Law say there's an epidemic of violent hate crimes taking place across the nation that mandates federal protection of certain group -- those of a different sexual orientation. But no actual proof of this epidemic was produced.
The language in The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act also seems to claim current laws against violent crimes are insufficient to prosecute crime against gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and those with disability. While gays readily welcome this new law, other groups included in the bill like African-Americans and the disabled have not expressed any public opinion as of yet.

We have turned from God as a nation but this is where the persecution of Christians begins.
Obesity has been determined to be a disability.
So if I go off my diet and gain weight, and then if someone calls me fatty and that word hunts my feelings, I can have their butt tossed in jail for a hate crime?
Okay, if it’s a black guy that calls me fatty, will that still be a hate crime, or will I be arrested for being upset at the black man.
I think they need to read what is in the US Bill of Rights and what is absent in Constitutions of Canada and the European states.
You can google search articles in the US and Foreign press discussing the advantages and disadvantages of these rights. Particularly the Right to Freedom of Speech.
I think if anything you will find Europe and Canada softening their stance on allowing people to make what some concider hatefull and derogatory speech.
Besides even the Libs will go out opf their way to defend peoples rights to state that Africans should be sent back to Africa and to call Queers, Butt Mucking Fagots.
Call your local Representatives now, not later but *NOW*!! We have got to stop these activist homosexuals from forcing their lifestyle on our families and outlawing religious freedoms. It’s stunning that it has come to this where we are on the brink of having Christian beliefs deemed illegal because they offend the militant homosexuals. We can stop this sickening legislation if everyone calls now.
