If the man gets a 65% approval rating, including a 100% approval rating from 15% of the population, he still has a 65% approval rating.

Correct.
But then I still haven't forgotten the sky high high percentage of African Americans who strongly backed OJ Simpson after he'd murdered Nicole and another guy in cold blood.
The message is clear: Africans Americans will back the devil himself..so far as the devil is black. Nothing else counts as far as these people are concerned.

Unless the Washington Examiner is implying that African-Americans don't count towards Americans overall. “

He implied nothing of the sort in the article. You put it there all by yourself.

What makes black folks and other minorities think Obummer and his liberal flunkie zombie sheep are ACTUALLY HELPING THEM. They’re not! They’re just bringing the rest of us down to their already gutter level which is where we will all be living very soon. We’ll all be homeless and looking for stuff in garbage dumpsters and begging for handouts on the street.

I'm just trying to understand what the phrase "appear a bit more popular overall than they actually are" means. Maybe you can explain it better?

If an issue is 50-50 among whites, and 90-10 among blacks, does the 90% black figure make the issue "appear a bit more popular overall" than it actually is?

No, I injected nothing.

And yes, I agree with your backing the devil statement. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Kwame Kirpactrick, and Marion Berry among others, all prove you correct.
