When Barack Obama released Jay Bybees 2002 memos on enhanced interrogations, the Washington Post reported that Bybee recently expressed regret for his work. The New York Times today says that the Post got it wrong. Bybee stands by his work, even though it has cost him friends and prompted credential investigations:

I'm so tired of the media controlling everything. They are stronger than the president or the house. They know they can destroy any decent person (Palin) and fluff up any criminal to look decent. We need to support newspapers/magazines/tv who speak the truth without bias. BUT more important, we need somehow to expose the lies, half truths and bias in most of the media. I know people who believe everything they say. They don't question anything. Unfortunately there are too many people like this. I'm praying God will expose them because I don't see any other way people will see the truth. What really make me sick is the thousands of media who toll the democrat/liberal/socialist/Communist line. The fact that they don't care about the truth is really sad. They have no conscience and no fear of God.
