OK why didn’t this bonehead do his fly picture op on a Sunday when New York might not be as full of business people? Someone just wasn’t thinking.
Maybe because it wasn't really a photo op?
So far, because the official WH story is that NY authorities were notified in advance but told to keep it secret EVEN WHEN it was happening (the panic and uproar wouldn't have happened if the flyby had been publicly announced beforehand to Obama-adoring New Yorkers, even if it was only 15 or 20 minutes before, as a wonderful thing to see our own FRIENDLY plane and the president's plane at that -- I think most NYers would have celebrated and cheered the flyby, then) and to refer inquiries coming in during the flyby to the FAA, I conclude that it was one of two things:
a) The real mission (this was no photo op) was so secret that the cover story of "photo op" couldn't be revealed until afterward without blowing whatever the real mission was ...
OR ...
b) It was a rogue event done by who knows who for who knows what reason, surprising everybody including Obama, and in the hustle to cover ass, the "photo op" story was quickly ginned up as the easiest to foist on the public, and NYC authorities were either forced or convinced to lie and say they were notified ahead of time and the reason they told upset callers to call the FAA (which I figure is what they'd do if they had no idea what it was) was because the WH told them to do so.
I ain't buyin' the "photo op" story because it defies common sense.
