I just got in and I’m trying to wrap my head around this story. The information that is missing from every story is what exactly was the photo op for and who requested it. Or have I missed that somewhere?
BO wanted a picture for his photo album of Air Force 1 over NY City.
Personally, I believe the photo-op story.
The man is running a never ending campaign, and one of his Hollywood type people decided that the "perfect shot" for a great campaign commercial would be of Air Force One flying regally by Manhattan.
And either Obama personally approved the request, or he gave some political guru douchebag the type of power that can scramble Air Force One and a couple of military craft on his own sayso.
Either way, there's alot of people who know the truth, and the Obama team are trying to figure out who to hang this on and how to spin it when the truth comes out. It's going to be messy for him, but luckily he can work with the New York Times, NBC, CBS, and many other saavy fellow travelers to control the damage.
