If you know about Mrs. Fitzherbert, you surely know that the marriage was illegal under the Royal Marriages Act 1772. If it hadn't been, Prince George Augustus Frederick would have lost his right to succeed his father as King George IV.

True, but under the 1701 Act of Settlement it would have excluded him from the succession (but didn't because of the Royal Marriages Act which invalidated the marriage and superseded the Act of Settlement in that regard.)
