I may have to work with liberals/socialists, may have some as relatives, but they are DEFINITELY not my friends.
For me, friends must share the most or all of my values. I am polite to liberals/socialists, but it is only a facade. I will not be friends with someone who supports abortion on demand, government control over our businesses and lives, gun control, is anti-Constitution, and believes we “owe” more taxes to support people who birth children out of wedlock, refuse free education, etc etc.
I think that in times to come, more and more of us are going to have to face up to the truth of what you say. The Civil War sadly proved that just because someone is or has been a social friend or is a relative, doesn't preclude them from being enemies who must be defeated. I think you're right about the wisdom of tightening standards for "friends." More and more, I think so.
Hell yeah!! Nobody who is a liberal is capable of really being a friend anyway, IMHO. They really are psychotic. Mike Savage is right - liberalism IS a mental disorder.
I agree. I could never be a friend to a Nazi who supported killing of the Jews. Most Nazis never killed Jews but supported it.
