Why should we have to compromise or "moderate" our views all the time? It's utter garbage. Liberals and GOP elitists just don't get it when it comes to understanding conservatives. We don't march lockstep with party bosses for convenience. There's simply no moderate stand on abortion. You either believe in killing babies or you don't. I guess you can support the federalism view on abortion and remove all tax funding from it, but Dems won't even support that. Ditto for homo marriage. Conservatives are just supposed to support it and let judges run amok? I smell desperation from the Politico.

You smell more than that from them. You should have listened as their swinish talking-head ripped up Sarah Palin after her debate. I've got five bucks says the guy was (is) homosexual. The fiercest Bush-bashers usually were. One guy on FR did a lot of Googling on the names of rabid Bush bashers a few years ago and bracketed the names with "gay" in his search. He found tons of references to their being actually gay. Mystery solved.
