That’s obvious. Who wants the commoners, who he said are only capable of paying taxes, to make recommendations?
It’s an interesting dynamic he sets up. He claims to have team members or allies but then sets up systems to bypass them and get “the goods” on those team members or allies. He has “czars” against cabinet secretaries, federal employees against both the secretaries and czars, lawyers against the intelligence community, retired military against the serving military, state houses and senates against their governors, citizens against their state political apparatus, WOT prisoners against their guards, union members against their employers. Now a lot of that isn’t new by any means but he is playing the competition to the hilt and billing himself as the all-knowing, all-wise conciliator, all while gathering to himself all kinds of ammunition against anyone who might turn against him.
Or am I being paranoid?
