I noticed while shopping at the flea market last week that the cost of a good Italian switchblade knife is going up. The newer “spring-assisted” pocket knives with the Harley and John Deere logos jumped up about 15% in the past month, while the cost of brass knuckles seems stable.

I noticed while shopping at the flea market last week that the cost of a good Italian switchblade knife is going up.

I asked an Asian vendor in a flea market about a knife and he thought I was talking about a switch blade. He looked at me and said "Irregal". Five seconds later he pulled one out of his pocket and named a price.

A German parachute knife, gravity type can be had for around $40. heavy duty construction.

Don’t have one yet but it’s on my wish list.

The prices on the Boker Magnums and the Kalashnikovs seem to be holding steady as seen at “theknifeauction.com”. As nice as these knives are, it wouldn’t be wise to bring them to a gun fight though.

Get a good cold steel voyager folder, a large columbia river knife and tool M16 or a large spyderco for a self defense knife.
