President Obamas first 100 days in office will come to a close.
Obama's juggernaut candidacy swept many Christians into its wake. Some now appear to have "buyer's remorse."
As David Gushee, an evangelical Professor of Christian Ethics at Mercer University and a supporter of Obama recently wrote in the USA TODAY:
"Mr. President, we need more than lip service. Centrist evangelicals like me embraced Barack Obama's campaign pledge to help bride the gaps of the culture wars. Instead, the president's short record on abortion-related issues is is familiar and disappointingrather than revolutionary.
Gushee is not alone. So, while politicos and pundits analyze the tea leaves of legislation, executive orders, appointments, foreign trips and the like, Christians are pondering these 100 days from their own perspective.
To many Christians, the following eventsa few highs and more lowsportray an administration that is less cordial to Christian influence than previous administrations.
Day 1 (January 20) Obama includes nonbelievers in listing of faiths in inaugural address.
Day 4 (January 23) Rescinds Mexico City Policy on abortion.
Day 10 (January 29) Ignites the Faith Based partnership with Joshua DuBois at the helm. (Good move).
Day 38 (February 26) Proposes new limits on tax-deductible contributions to charitable institutions.
Day 39 (February 27) Announces intent to overturn health care conscience provisions.
Day 49 (March 9) Lifts restrictions on embryonic stem cell research.
Day 59 (March 19) Extends olive branch to anti-Israel Iran.
Day 67 (March 27) American cardinal calls out Notre Dame for inviting Obama to speak.
Day 77 (April 6) In a speech in Turkey, Obama says that United States is not a Christian nation.
Day 83 (April 12) Obama family finally attends church.
Day 85 (April 14) Monogram for the Name of Jesus is covered at Georgetown speech.

“Some Christians who supported Obama ...”
No true Christian supported Obama. If the Holy Spirit was indwelling a person, that person would’ve been able to discern the truth.
This time next year I expect this whole nation to be either in turmoil or have assumed the function of walking corpse.
If the country is a walking corpse, Obama will have exceded his own expectations
It took me all of 2 seconds to figure out where he was coming from, why is this like rockets science to some people?
Stupidit comes in many different shapes and sizes. They were stupid to fall for it.
Wait. What? I had never heard that before. What was Mohammed’s grandson’s name?
Hussein.

Obama makes surprise visit to Iraq: AFP reporter
Apr 6, 2009
ISTANBUL (AFP) President Barack Obama left Turkey on Tuesday and made made a surprise visit to Iraq, his first since taking office three months ago, an AFP reporter said...
Earlier, Obama visited a landmark mosque in Istanbul, following strong messages of US reconciliation with the Islamic world on his maiden trip to a mainly Muslim country as president.
Taking off his shoes as tradition requires, Obama stepped into the 17th-century Sultanahmet Mosque in the ancient heart of Istanbul, accompanied by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Two Muslim preachers guided Obama inside the grandiose edifice — better known as the Blue Mosque for its blue tileworks — and the president smiled when they showed him a dome scripture mentioning the Prophet Mohammed’s grandson Hussein, Obama’s middle name, Anatolia news agency reported.
PS while Barack Hussein Obama was named after his muslim Grandfather, it was NOT his grandfather’s birth name. His grandfather was a Catholic who converted to Islam.
If he truly wanted to declare himself a Christian AND honor his grandfather, he’d have changed his name to his grandfather’s Christian name. But then his mother was agnostic and his “Hawaiian” grandmother was a unitarian. Religion doesn’t mean much to the One. He’s said he holds a healthy skepticism of organized religion and that all religions will bring you the same result of “salvation” (paraphrasing, he certainly has spoken out that God would not condemn those who followed other faiths, I wonder if that includes atheism).
The Left likes to bring up how he mentioned “nonbelievers” in his Inauguration address. He mentioned Jews, Christians, muslims, and nonbelievers. That is the same worldview that muslims have. People “of the book” and everyone else. Hindus and Buddhists and pagans and Scientologists are lumped together with atheists. Quite insulting actually.
Thanks for the info. I hope we survive this fool.
