GOP centrists tout Sen. Snowe's record in Congress [RINO Party] ["Main Street" RINO infestation]

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Main Street Partnership, the largest organization of elected centrists, recently spotlighted Maine Senator Olympia Snowe.

"Snowe has long been a leader for centrist Republicans in Washington," said former U.S. Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA), President and CEO of Main Street. "Snowe's commitment to delivering results to her constituents, and her pragmatic approach to government, have made her one of the most effective members of the U.S. Senate, regardless of which party controls the Congress."

"It is clear that Senator Snowe takes public service and the duty of governing seriously. Main Street is lucky to count Senator Snowe amongst its members and the State of Maine is fortunate to have her as their voice in Washington," concluded Davis.

There is a cold and sobering realization that the GOP can no longer be saved.

I am not one that supports the idea of a 3rd party, but the one we have is so damn broken it’s almost completely useless.

A Modest Proposal: Allow the RINO’s to form their own “party,” dedicated to “moderation” and LACK of principles and convictions... They can adopt (quite logically) the rhino as their new party logo. Conservatives and other PRINCIPLED Americans will form the TEA Party, and we will adopt the coiled snake of the Gadsden Flag, with our slogan, “Don’t Tread on Me!”

Of course, many will cry out that this would end all hope of “winning back” the Federal government from Liberals. Baloney. We didn’t have it fiscally under Bush and the “Republican” Congress — their moderates somehow found it FAR easier to cross the aisle and vote WITH Liberals than to stand on PRINCIPLES.

In a REAL crisis, responsible citizens turn to adults with principles to help them overcome problems. What we have right now is a created crisis, by Statists who want more power. But what they are doing is most certainly creating a REAL and staggering crisis that will surely come soon. Moderation? Not now!

I say work against the Rhinos in Republican primaries, but then support them if they win the primaries. Except in Republican primaries and when directly communicating with Rhinos to affect their votes, remember Reagan’s 11th Commandment.

Most Rhinos are better than Marxist Democrats, when the two are the only choices. Also, in areas where no conservative has a ghost of a chance of winning, a Rhino (if he or she has some chance of winning) may be preferable to an unelectable conservative in a Republican primary. PA may fall into this category, I do not know.

Obama’s Marxism needs to be blunted, even if it means holding your nose and voting for a Rhino.

Reagan's Eleventh Commandment only applies to other Republicans, not necessarily former Republicans who have become independent and unaffiliated.
