Chrysler's Fineberg was doing deals with GM's Merkin who was dealing with Madoff. Fineberg and Merkin own an Israeli bank together.
Fineberg prefers people think he did not know his buddies GM's Merkin and Madoff are crooks (Fineberg's partner Merkin got $6 billion in US govt bailouts and was feeding millions to crook Madoff).
