At this time, I consider Michelle Bachman a more impressive personage than Gov Palin. Bachman handles herself in interviews with savvy and dignity. She might lag behind Sarah in the "sex appeal" dept, but she's still a handsome woman. On essential matters, Bachman is much better spoken and better grounded intellectually than Palin. I'm not saying Palin has no positives, just that she is still a little green and needs to develop her natural gifts away from the spotlight.

I am afraid that Palin's career could spiral down and crash, sort of like those kids who go into the NBA at 18, or those QBs who come out of college with enormous natural gifts, but are thrown into the fire too soon. They are ill-prepared, they get clobbered for a couple of years, discouragement sets in, and before you know it they leave the game. I hope this doesn't happen to Palin, who is enormously talented. She does lack polish, however. (Donning flame retardent suit).
