I respect Ted's enthusiasm, but what does this sentence mean?
" After all, that they make such incredible sacrifices for our freedoms drives us to exercise them in respect to their service."<

Mr. Nugent is referring to exercising the freedoms those soldiers and police mentioned in the previous sentance had sacrificed one way or the other to protect.
