Wading into the politically charged immigration debate, a group of colleges and universities is urging Congress to give illegal immigrants tuition aid and a path to citizenship in light of efforts in several states to block them.

—An estimated 5 percent to 10 percent of the 65,000 illegal immigrants who graduate from high school each year go to college. Their ability to receive a higher education and move into better-paying jobs would help the U.S. economy in the form of increased tax revenue and consumer spending.

I think this sums it up! They want illegal immigration to generate more tax revenue at the expense of legally born U.S. citizens.

Continue to fill America’s colleges with the cast-offs from other nations. The dumbing down of this nation continues as we descend from a great nation to third world status.

Of course it is. The same is true of all publically funded schools.

Easy money for the colleges. Illegals can attend, but nothing says they have to pass a class. All they have to do is show up for awhile.

No dice. Let their home countries pay their tuition. We're not tax slaves for the world. It's bad enough we're used as slaves by our own people.

Anything you subsidize you get more of.

If we subsidize illegal immigration, we will get more illegal immigration. Is this what we want?

Janet Napolitano's little head nod on the act of crossing our borders not being illegal, coupled with this and other benefits for illegals suggests to me, come on in we will not deport you and we will even reward your illegal status by granting you your rights to be here and have the legally born, hard working, tax payers pay your way!

With so many Americans loosing their jobs, hey lets deport these illegals working in this country and fill the slot with out of work Americans who would like to have any job they can get! This would also open up entry level jobs for our youth who are also struggling to find part time and summer jobs.

Off topic but, Instead of AmeriCorps how about putting to work the people that already draw benefits? They can volunteer to do these jobs just as we can volunteer our tax money to support them!

Mr. Obama ask these people to volunteer and help payback the American Taxpayer!
