DeMint: U.S. Suffering 'Buyer's Remorse' With Obama [also attacks universal healthcare]
Newsmax ^ | 2009-04-21 | Jim Meyers

Sen. Jim DeMint tells Newsmax that Americans who backed Barack Obama are suffering from “a little buyer’s remorse” now that they see his administration’s agenda taking the U.S. toward socialism.

The South Carolina Republican — the only U.S. senator to get a perfect score this year from the Conservative Political Action Conference — also said that universal healthcare is the “last thing we need.”

How does he know, since no one will admit it.

For the most part, the Americans who put 0 into office are too brainwashed and drunk on pop culture to know what they’ve done, ...just yet. That time will come, and at the rate 0 and his statist oligarchy are moving, with no checks and balances, it won’t be long. Four months in, and he already thinks of himself as an anointed dictator, privileged to bury future future generations with unimaginable debt. By the time 0 and his fellow communist are done, we might not be able to take America back to anything that resembles the dream our Founding Fathers gave us, and the pop culture that elected these pigs, might have to spend the next few decades wallowing in the pile of crap they created.

DeMint is one of the few Repubs showing backbone. He is 100% right except people are showing a lot of remorse.

See my tag line. Seniors and baby boomers who voted for him screwed their retirement plans. Studies show stocks markets do badly during periods of high govt spending.

“The South Carolina Republican...also said that universal healthcare is the “last thing we need.”

I think on principle he should refuse the free healthcare that he receives as a Congressman, and say he stands firm with the Americans who pay for it themselves.

Otherwise, his statement that univeresal healthcare is “the last thing we need” reads more like it is “the last thing I need.”

“Studies show stocks markets do badly during periods of high govt spending.”

Really? The Dow increased 1000% from 1980 to 2000, a period of huge increases in government spending.

DeMint: U.S. Suffering 'Buyer's Remorse' With Obama

Only those of us who have a job, pay taxes, can read, write and understand the Constitution. The rest are fat, dumb and happy.

The tea parties are such a nice way to show the American voters outrage by normal people of all ages. This article stating buyer remorse goes hand in hand with the revolt seen and lowering of O’s polling numbers. I agree with a freeper here that by releasing confidential CIA interrogation docs is another ploy to try and turn this back to blaming Bush...and keep Bush blaming to take the heat off of messiah...but it’s not working and won’t. Axelrod, Emmanuel and Obama is underestimating the will of the people and the power of FR and the internet. They may have the MSM helping them but people are truly getting fed up and how many bumper stickers to you see now proud of Obama....not many where I live. Love it! Keep it up Obama...

Actually, G-F-L, you are ahead of your time.

If Congress and the President get their way, we all will have “free” healthcare.

That’s one reason why I supported Rice with DeMint in 2008.
