zero needs to get a clue, we don't need him preaching to us to volunteer, we will and do, when and where and how we see fit, NOT where when or how he sees fit.
MOST Americans volunteer because of what they can do to help others. For zero's crowd, it is done for whatever is in it for themselves.
When the first youth are served with their "mandatory volunteer" government service notices, parents should refuse to send them, and youth 18 or over should be encouraged to refuse to go, and supported all the way in that refusal. While they're all refusing, the parents, and all sympathetic to them, need to pool their resources, hire the biggest badass, loudmouth, media-hungry attorneys they can find, and take this whole thing (noisily) to the Sup. Ct., with the objective of burying it 6 feet under, once and for all.
Where I come from the volunteer programs are run by more qualified people who also volunteer their time because they believe in the cause and know they should model the behavior they expect from those under them. What moron requires 5.7 Billion to get volunteer work done?
We live in a capitalistic economy. If people want to help out they can get a job, or work more hours. It is that simple. Volunteer for your church or charity, tell the Government to butt out with their destructive entitlements stolen from our paychecks.
