I teach at a university. There has been no freedom of speech since the advent of political correctness. Particularly towards women. I have never made a negative remark about women in my life, but you have to be hyper sensitive or face law suits or dismissal.
1. Try to deny promotion or tenure to a woman, gay or minority. You can’t even say anything negative, otherwise a civil rights suit is threatened (and levied). Gays? Don’t kid yourself. Lesbians claim gender discrimination. Gay men? They are rarely a problem, except that they rally the lesbians.
2. We had a basketball team. A short, fat lesbian demanded to know why she wasn’t asked to play. She went right to the top and we were ordered to ask her. They weren’t stupid enough to force her to play since we were just a pick-up team. But this is how crazy this is getting.
