She believes al-Qaida was an "obscure group" turned into a massive threat due to U.S. policies.
She's referred to former President Bush as "our torturer in chief" and a "psychotic who need(s) treatment" while comparing Bush's arguments for waging a war on terrorism to Adolf Hitler's use of political propaganda.
She's worked on behalf of George Soros' philanthropic foundation.
Meet Rosa Brooks, the Obama administration's new adviser to Michelle Fluornoy, the undersecretary of defense for policy, a position described as one of the most influential in the Pentagon.
"I prefer to think of (my new position) as my personal government bailout," Brooks wrote in a departing piece at the Los Angeles Times, where she served as a regular columnist.
Brooks' new boss earlier this month briefed Congress on U.S. policy in Pakistan and Afghanistan, two countries for which she has enormous power concerning drafting future military doctrine.
"Brooks will wield an extraordinary degree of influence in helping shape U.S. policy. Her extreme views should therefore be closely scrutinized," wrote Nile Gardiner, a contributor to the London Telegraph's online blog.

Jeez. How did this happen? How obvious was it last year that this is exactly what would happen when Obama was elected? He is a leftist goon. It is sad the RNC and McCain were so damn weak in their attempt to defeat this guy. Obama’s thinking is so radically out of line with many that voted for him.
She hasn’t got a chip on her shoulder- she’s got an entire agenda
Angry people in positions of power - BOHICA
Dear Rosa Brooks,
When a husband who is a poor performer at work loses his job ,gets drunk, goes home and beats his wife, do you blame the employer for the beating because they fired the husband???
The hits keep coming with Obama’s appointments.
Does she have to be confirmed by the Senate?
Worse still, now that it is there for all to see, there's still nobody that can mount a full throated rhetorical assault. It' really amazing that the right is so disorganized and leaderless that the airwaves aren't filled with paid messages pointing out things like what a disaster cap and trades is. And what a lunatic this woman is. The left hasn't laid down their arms. TV's in Minnesota are regularly displaying ads from left-wing groups about how the rich need to be soaked. There just seems to be nobody with organization, money, or influence on the right.
What? He was a threat prior to Bush’s election and the USA was hit within less time then a full term pregnancy. So how is this Bush’s fault? He was not OUT THERE like Obie making friend with the enemy and dissing Israeli. The terrorist Attacked us, we did not go looking for or ask for it. We did not cut the head off of the captured terrorist like we have had done to us countryman.(Ooops, I’m bad. I AM NOT politically correct and NEVER will be).
Remember Daniel Pearl??? Incase you forgot see- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Pearl
The children are running OUR country and they are running it into the ground!!!
Babbling Ignorance on a stick.
Didn’t I just hear McCain and LIEberman making the very same claim.
We tortured the captured terrorists and that’s why they attacked us on 9/11.
Make sense, of course not.
‘...the airwaves aren’t filled with paid messages pointing out things like what a disaster cap and trades is. And what a lunatic this woman is...’
Exactly! This is why I’ve been refusing to give money to the RNC when they call.....but, you’ve inspired me to turn the tables. I will call the RNC and ask exactly what you’ve questioned....why don’t we see DAILY TV spots from the RNC or Repub pols EXPLAINING how cap and trade and this horrendous woman will affect lives of ‘every day’ Americans.
It seems for all the talk about homeschooling and the far left goons and liberal loons, etc. That it is all, simply talk.
I believe most of our Republicans, Libertarians, conservatives, religious, pro-Family, pro-Life, pro-Freemarket, capitalists, etc. have all been indoctrinated in public schools and just as effectively as our Democratic Party socialists have.
Lord, have mercy on us all.
I am beginning to believe that Napolitano was right, somewhat.
Patriotic veterans, pro-Life persons and groups, non-heretical Christians and persons who defend and believe in our constitutional republic “are” right wing extremists. I don't believe she was right in stating they are potential domestic terrorists.
It sure appears that the “right” has lost its moral compass for the most part, leaving the true right to fight a losing battle for now.
If there is one thing the true right doesn't need is weak and hollow reeds blowing in the winds of popularity - best to flush them out now. Flush them out on every election.
Does she realize that the planning for the 9/11/2001 attacks were begun during the Clinton presidency? How can she blame George Bush? Does she not have a single clue, or is she blonde?
“I believe most of our Republicans, Libertarians, conservatives, religious, pro-Family, pro-Life, pro-Freemarket, capitalists, etc. have all been indoctrinated in public schools and just as effectively as our Democratic Party socialists have”
.
Also globalists run both the Republican and Democratic parties. They make policy in terms of what is best for their global bosses, not what is best for for the US and its citizens.
Sad to say, if McCain had won we would not be seeing much different. McCain would not push to secure our borders, would continue to push for amnesty of the 30 - 40 million illegals in the US, do nothing about the ~ 138,000 new workers being brought into the US monthly as ~ 500,000 jobs are lost monthly, and he would support the sundry bailouts that are nothing more than a massive transfer of wealth from the tax payers.
The only difference I see between the Rhinos and the Rats is window dressing, and how fast we get cooked. Bush I and Bush II both paved the way for Clinton and Obama. The difference between
Babbling ignorant EVIL. You forgot the “Evil” part.
She’s just a typical evil leftist.
This warning will be mentioned in the August 2001 memo given to President Bush entitled Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US."
With all of the hearings with respect to the 9/11 terrorist attacks the one single greatest factor which could have prevented the WTC and Pentagon from being hit would have been secure bullet proof cockpit doors on our commercial aircraft. And, fitting a bulkhead that permanently blocks access to the cockpit from the cabin.
If our aircraft had secure cockpit doors and a bulkhead to block access the planes could not have been used to hit targets. Period. Case closed.
So, the single greatest question should be- why were we penny wise and pound foolish with respect to our commercial aircraft for so many years after we understood that terrorists might hijack American Aircraft?
Following the downing of TWA Flight 800 in 1996, Gore was entrusted by President Clinton to investigate airline safety. He was named chairman of the White House Commission on Aviation Safety.
The Gore commission produced what most observers considered to be a tough preliminary report unveiled Sept. 9 of that year one that included tough counter-terrorism procedures.
Following the election, in January, Gore floated a draft final report that eliminated all security measures from the commission's findings, according to the insider. Two commission members balked, as did CIA Director John Deutch.
Fearing more political heat, Gore pulled back the draft report. A month later, the final report was issued, one that included requirements that would cost the airlines some money, but save some lives in the future
Only one thing was lacking from the report's requirements, said the whistleblower - there was no deadline by which those requirements would have to be met. It was open-ended. In other words, it wasn't worth the paper on which it was written.
