So to the Obamas, here's a “Well done!” for continuing to increase their percentage given to charity; however, it is important to note that the Obamas now are only tied for last with President Reagan for the least generous presidents since 1969.

Reagan was also extraordinarilly generous with his time. While the liberals love to be seen helping at a homeless shelter or reading to kids when there are TV cameras around, you will seldom see them making appearances when their out of office for less than a six figure advance.

Carter, to his credit, is one of the few exceptions due to his work with Habitat for Humanity. But I'm not sure if it is real charity from the heart or PR to sell his books and his idiotic foreign policies.

Reagan, on the other hand, genuinely loved working with young people and left his ranch to Young American's Foundation, one of the finest education organizations out there and one of the few which is doing an effective job in countering the stranglehold which the left has on college campuses. He was actively involved in getting YAF gatherings started at his ranch retreat and continuing them into post presidency as long as his health permitted.
