I used to feel the same way you did but have come to realize that we must clean out and purge the party itself.

I'll ask the same question every time someone makes this type of statement. Why wasn't the party purged long ago? Purging the party could only work if you remove the many party leaders who also espouse the increasingly socialist attitudes. That will be impossible and doing so would essentially be forming a new party. It will take far less time to build a new foundation of strong conservative principles instead of trying to replace the existing socialist base.
