That is why we have to go to D.C. and Push Back Until they listen to us. We also publicize the names of those officials who do not support we, the people. If we cannot get to them by basically shutting the city down a few times a year, this country is toast. I have never, ever thought that was going to be the case, but the irresponsibility of Congress is unbelievable.

Ah, you didn't mention the latter - that's something that will work. I have also recommended two other tactics:

1. 1-day "no pay tax" days - boycott days, not paying even sales tax. A form of citizen walkout.
2. Enlist the assistance of truckers to stop rolling - with particular emphasis in keeping deliveries out of D.C.
