NJ Senator Lesniak Says He Was Robbed At Home

Sen. Raymond Lesniak says he was robbed early Saturday by two young men who broke into his Elizabeth home while he was sleeping.
Lesniak tells The Star-Ledger of Newark that he was woken up by noise and saw two men standing just feet from his bed.
The Union County Democrat tells the newspaper that the men seemed surprised to find anyone at home, and one suggested they shoot him, though Lesniak did not see a gun.
The 62-year-old Lesniak says the men took cash, a cellular phone and the keys to his Lexus hybrid, which they left untouched in his garage.
Police are calling the home invasion "highly unusual" for the normally tranquil are near Kean University. They say the men, who are still at large, broke in through a basement window.

File this under irony or hoist on one's own petard but the no. 1 gun grabber in NJ experiences what he desires to impose on us all. Hilarious.....

He should have been consistent and grabbed their gun(s).

Funny thing is, everyone knows Lesniak has a house down the shore and rarely is in Elizabeth. He just keeps the house there so he can continue getting elected.
I don’t think the old saw, a conservative is a liberal that got mugged will apply here.

Bull.
He probably needs money and is submitting a phony insurance claim and wants sympathy to boot as well as to DISARM us.

When seconds matter, the cops will be there in minutes. If he had a cop as a boarder, I’m sure that would have cut down on response time.

This happened to my grandparents while they were spending the winter in Hollywood Florida. My grandmother woke up when she felt the intruder’s hands around her neck. She stayed perfectly still while he removed her necklace and took both wallets. I’m glad she didn’t confront the burglar because he probably would have killed her. My grandfather installed metal screens on all the windows and doors on both houses after that night.

The big difference between Lesniak and the "robbers" is that Lesniak doesn't need a gun and a mask to rob the taxpayers! However, they both take the earnings of others!
To: JrsyJack
the men seemed surprised to find anyone at home, and one suggested they shoot him, though Lesniak did not see a gun. It is really too bad that they didn't shoot him (non-lethally, of course).
We could have had a new second amendment believer, with the political clout to actually get something done.
