Interesting screen name. Point of trivia: I was hired to liquidate the estate of a old genius, former Lockheed guy. I found photographs of a ME 262 being reverse engineered & disassembled at the old San Bernardino Air Material Command - later Norton AFB, dated April 1944. What a teaser! Do you still have the pics? Are they scanned onto the net? Sounds like some awesome history came out of that project.

Alas, I had to catalog them and give to the family. I wanted just one to give to the San Bernardino newspaper so they could run publish it in hopes of getting more details from living witnesses (This was in 1996). It was taken in one of the warehouses on the west side of Norton AFB.
What the family did with them - I don't know :^(
