I wouldn’t bail so quickly. At the rate characters get shot, blown up or poisoned, there’s a good chance we may get to see her character similarly exit the show. Especially if she somehow becomes Jack’s boss along the way.
So THAT explains why Jack doesn't want treatment for the Bio poison that's killing him. He just found out that, if he lives, he'll have to report to Janis Gold. Death would be the favorable option here :D
