Democrats Plan Vote on Sebelius Nomination as Grassley Voices Concerns

The Senate Finance Committee plans to vote April 21 on the nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to lead the Health and Human Services Department, despite concerns voiced Friday by ranking Republican Charles E. Grassley of Iowa.

Grassley called it a “bombshell” that Sebelius initially understated campaign contributions she had received years ago from a doctor who performs abortions. He said the contributions have “raised a lot of concern among pro-life people,” and added that he has not decided how he will vote on her nomination.

I thought she was voted in already. Now that she is not maybe at least ONE of his picks can be voted down. I mean except for a few that have “voluntarily” dropped out, he has had it pretty easy on his picks from the Senate votes at least.

Isn’t her hubby going “up the river” for five years? My hubby mentioned this this evening!

Not to worry, Senator Grassely. Our fine Kansas Senators: Senator Sam “I’m a Christian, honest I am” Brownback, and Senator Pat “Whatever Rocks Your Boat” Roberts are going to vote for the Queen of the Baby Killers, so why shouldn’t you. No need to pay any attention to that silly peasant notion about Pro-life once you are up here in Wasington amongst the intellectually enlightened urban sophisticates. A pox on those hayseeds back in the Heartland. Stupid little voters can’t remember what they did last week, never mind remembering on election day that we stiffed them on this one.

Apparently if you cheat on your taxes it’s ok.

It is indeed sad and shocking that Roberts, Brownback and Dole have all been eager to back the corrupt and abortion loving Sebelius.

Where is the opposition party?

Her husband is a federal judge. I don’t find anything like that in a google search.

But I did find this, which recalls a story I saw earlier:

“If there is a provocateur gene in the family, it may have gone to son John, who caused a stir last year when he began marketing “Don’t Drop the Soap”, a prison board game he created, out of the governor’s mansion.

“Retailing for $34.99, ‘Soap’ makes up with heavy-handedness what it lacks in imagination, offering players the chance to “escape prison riots in The Yard, slip glass into a mob boss’ lasagna in the Cafeteria, steal painkillers from the nurse’s desk in the Infirmary, avoid being cornered by the Aryans in the Shower Room, fight off Latin Kings in Gang War, and try not to smoke your entire stash in The Hole...”

In other words, evidently it’s a light-hearted board game where the main concern is to avoid prison rape.

There is no opposition party.

They are sending money to Sphincter for his campaign.
They are backing Sebellius and urging America to accept gays. I never thought being a Republican would fel this bad.
