Obama said that U.S. demand fuels the drug trafficking that plagues communities on both sides of the border, and he vowed that the United States would work harder to reduce drug use among its citizens. He announced that, in addition to the appointment of a new border czar and tough new financial penalties against three Mexican drug cartels, he would push the U.S. Senate to approve a long-delayed inter-American treaty to curb regional weapons trafficking.
The treaty, known by its Spanish acronym, SIFTA, was signed by the United States in 1997 but not ratified by Congress, and its passage these days is equally problematic.
The National Rifle Association immediately blasted the treaty and vowed to continue lobbying against its passage.

Personally I do not believe a single one of the remarks made by any of the communists (dems) or members of Hussein Øbama's staff hinting that a new AWB or major form of "common sense gun control" (barf) is not on their agenda sometime before the 2010 elections.

He sure telegraphs his plays far in advance. All that talk last month about "American guns fueling Mexican violence" by him, Hillary, and various other Dem scum was all about more gun control.
The fact that the contention is easily disproved doesn't matter, since the media's fully on board.

And that's why the American media is thoroughly corrupt. They are totally in bed with liberals. They are to the point where they have chosen sides and do whatever they can to defend their side, to include mocking, ridiculing. marginilizing, and demonizing, ordinary Americans who may happen to protest via a tea party. They are evil as far as I'm concerned.

We’re waiting for he and everyone on the WH staff to voluntarily take tests to prove that they have not used any controlled substances for the past six months and thereby set an example for the nation in curbing the “leisure” use of drugs. We think that all rallies of patriots should so demand.

Boy, this is SO comforting! How nice to have a president who, through personal experience, can know, through personal experience, and propose, because of his personal experience, how to address this addiction to drugs we all have here in the USA that causes all the difficulties Mexico is having to deal with. Whatta guy...*sigh*
Another thought - what kind of piece that he wants to ban now do you think he was packing when he was buying HIS stash? Surely he wouldn’t buy blow unarmed???
