The folks who actually pilot (or fly, if you like) military aircraft typically refer to themselves as [fill in the blank] drivers.

Apache driver.

Eagle driver. (F-15 Eagle)

Phantom driver. (F-4 Phantom)

Mustang driver. (My Dad's job title during WWII)

They're the real deal.
