Why should they be immune to layoffs in an economy where millions are losing their jobs because of badly run companies? NO MORE BAILOUTS! Especially for so-called journalists.
I heard yesterday that there are more students in journalism schools then there are working journalists in the entire country. I lot of people are going to wind up with J-school degrees they can't use and loans they have to pay back.
