I liked the blue back lite too.
My 1103 is orange back lite..The new radio doesn’t pick up jack. It looks nice but it is a piece of junk.

Are you running them side by side so you know one works and the other doesn’t? Not good that the brand new one is not doing a good job.

Yes I am. Now the 1102 is picking up Maine with no antenna.

Perhaps I just am not familiar with the operation of this thing.

I will fool with it a bit before I send it back. It sure looks nice, but its crap if it doesnt receive radio signals.

Kicked in the front end attenuator and the reception on my out door antenna is way better. Still it is crappy IMHO.

The front end is being overloaded. I am sending it back.

OK maybe this thing isnt that bad, but it doesnt compare to my kaito 1103.

I am going to go test 40 meter SSB now

This thing is just complicated to use.

It is receiving well now.

I think it is Ok but complex to use.

My 1103 is simpler. And people complained it had a difficult user interface.

I think the 1103 is a better radio and easier to use.

Ahh well..

This thing is doing OK now on short wave but AM and FM suck. It’s going back.

Its a shame because it is a nice compact package with 3 alarms
