I don't know if they'll get booted out of office. Contrary to the MSM spin, I believe that there's a deepening divide in the country - the ideological split is becoming more polarized. Unfortunately, the other guys control the majority and I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future. If some form of amnesty is passed, I don't foresee Republicans ever gaining a majority position again.
Although I don't agree with many of McCain's positions, I think he would have done a lot to shrink and fill in this massive divide and eased growing tensions. Instead, we got someone who's farther to the left (way farther), than Reagan was to the right. This isn't going to end well.
To paraphrase Margaret Thatcher, Socialism doesn't work because you eventually run out of money to transfer. With a trillion dollar deficit in just the first half of the year, we're going to run out of money to transfer sooner, rather than later. Then, I'm afraid we'll see something that hasn't been seen in over 225 years.
I suggest supporting the FairTax.org . If millions of people pressure Congress to get rid of the federal income tax, IRS, etc etc., they will have to listen, or get voted out. I think at least 60 million people agree with the concept of FairTax.
Without our money and consent, the federal government can’t continue along its socialist path.
