“Climate change is real.”

It certainly is.
It is warmer today than it was yesterday, but it is supposed to be colder tomorrow.....

Bingo! Climate changes, period. It is never stable for eons, there constant shifts. We are not the cause, we may make a small contribution to the factors effecting climate, but nature is the ultimate, unstoppable, unchangeable power in climate change.
Agreed. I’ve always beleived we’ve had warming and cooling, but I scoff at those who want me to live like a hermit while they dine on rare species fish...

Exactly. Global warming is real. It has happened before. The earth was so warm once that they grew grapes in Britain.
In Roman Britain the weather was warmer than it is now, and this warmer climate allowed extensive vine growing throughout Britain’s Roman period, and for a long time after. By 1086 when the Domesday survey was carried out there were thirty nine vineyards officially recorded in England, although the actual figure may have been much higher. Then temperatures began to drop in the second half of the sixteenth century causing a retreat of vine growing from the north and east of Europe.

Thank you. It's the role humans have in causing it that is the contention. I wish Freepers would not deny climate change just deny that it is settled science that human activity causes the change.
During non industrialized Roman empire times Britain was warm enough to grow grapes that rivaled those of France for wine. Greenland was warm enough to farm/graze livestock. In the Middle Ages we had a weather shift and it was like a mini ice age that we were emerging from in the 20th century. WW2 recorded some of the coldest weather ever and then winters became milder around the globe. That is a sign we are returning to classical Roman empire era weather - a return to normal if you will.
