Ignorance is curable, if the will exists to get over it ... try reading a little bit about antibiotic resistant strains of staph.

Ignorance is curable, if the will exists to get over it... try reading a little bit about antibiotic resistant strains of staph.Huh? How is it ignorant to treat staph with oral as well as topical anti-staph antibiotics? The article doesn't state if it's MRSA or VRSA only that it was "staph".
If they treated an open draining wound that had been treated with TMP-SMX, Augmentin or Clindamycin... maybe just switching to Levaquin might do the trick. But if it's resistant and hasn't been cultured then the treatment of choice is IV antibiotics with long term oral meds and nasal antibiotics till cleared by negative culture.
You're right, ignorance is curable.... but being a douche bag isn't. Try spitting out the vinegar and water.

Just re-read the article and it was MRSA. So if the guy has MRSA he might have it in his nasal cavity which is where I've seen several jocks test positive for it.
so what happens is that either a carrier or the same "treated" individual blows his nose or picks it and get the staph on the equipment and Viola... another staph infection.
