If you go and read the whole statement on the State of Alaska website you will see that she was calling Salazars bluff concerning statements he made at his confirmation.
I do understand that particular battle but what she said, if she was quoted correctly, paints a picture that I simply can't appreciate and that is factually wrong. This is a form of 'Stockholm syndrome' with regards to the press and the Leftists, at the worse and simple igornance of all the facts at the best.
Look, I was her biggest supporter at the time she was chosen and even in the Gibson interview (while they were walking) she alluded to the idea that global warming may not be man-made and that it didn't matter as long as we worked for a cleaner planet. I questioned her view then but it was at least acceptable without having any other info, but her statements here - again, if reported correctly, shows an entirely different viewpoint - an acknowledgement of global warming even though she still might not think it is 'man-made' - although some of the comments made even point to that. Eg.:
"Stopping domestic energy production of preferred fuels does not solve the issues associated with global warming and threatened or endangered species, but it can make them worse,"
Acknowledging that even the 'preferred fuels' can "make them worse" shows an agreement that man can have an effect on global warming. I don't buy it.
