I heard that interview, that was during the election when she was having to walk the McCain line, I also watched a very long interview she did with Glenn Beck before she was nominated and that was Palin Unplugged....

I’d be well enough for her to say Alaska can take care of herself without Washington intervening, all states have that ability and I’ll bring that back. As far as how she had to deal with the press. Screw em all.

Did that and don't see anything directly addressing this particular speech.

There's a video posted at 3:39 of her talking with this heading: Gov. Palin's Testimony at Interior Secretary's Public Hearing

She has only said the plans in place for carbon reduction DON'T meet the goals the enviro's themselves have set.

Bill Clintonese.

"Simply waiting for low-carbon-emitting renewable capacity to be large enough will mean that it will be too late to meet the mitigation goals for reducing [carbon dioxide] that will be required under most credible climate-change models," she warned.

You wanted a quote, but then ignored it in favor of a fabrication of your own design.

I have only one thing to say to your comments, Stunned, and that is “BULL”. I’m an Alaskan Conservative too and I am surrounded by other Alaskan Conservatives. And each of them would say the same thing as I to what you have posted. BULL. Have a nice Alaskan evening.

Are you an Alaskan conservative that supports global warming hysteria and amnesty? They may have a different sort of "Alaskan conservative" where you are. It's a big state, you know. And to the person who commented that Sarah doesn't believe in AGW, I agree. Sarah only believes in Sarah. Sigh.

This has nothing to do with whether I like Sarah Palin or not. Her statements were taken out of context to create the impression that she believes in man made global warming. In essence her statements as a whole are saying “Hey ,you guys say this about global warming and if you believe it than here is a solution at least to part of YOUR problem.” The problem with the whole issue of global warming is that the planet did go through a short warming period that had some observable effects. This natural warming was then hijacked as part of a larger agenda. Now if someone makes any statement concerning this warming period that ended in 2000 they are global warming fanatics. All Gov Palin did was refer to the effects of this warming period on her state and never said anything about those effects being due to man made global warming. Your statement”I do understand that particular battle but what she said, if quoted correctly... This statement tells me that you did not even bother to go and read her prepared remarks before you responded to my previous post. What it also tells me is that you made up your mind by reading something put out by the media who we can probably agree has a less than favorable opinion of Gov Palin.

“We all need to learn to hold fire on every candidate and look for the truth vs AP spin... too much jumping the shark going on and in some cases the same person that stirred everyone during the primaries is starting the emotional anti-Palin threads, too.”

That and all the Obama ass kisser sign-ups. Divide and conquer is their game. I hope FReepers don’t fall for it. With all the dirty lowlife tricks that the libtards pulled during the last election we should stay vigilant.

Then let's make it Paul/Palin 2012. They can take turns promoting various crackpot notions.

Gov. Palin Testifies on Development of Outer Continental Shelf

Governor Palin Testifies on Outer Continental Shelf

April 14, 2009, Juneau, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin today testified before Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar in a federal hearing in Anchorage, urging the Obama administration to stand by Salazar’s confirmation hearing statement favoring “wise, responsible use of conventional fuels,

” such as the oil and gas resources found in abundance in the Outer Continental Shelf.

“Alaska has consistently supported oil and gas development in our OCS,” Governor Palin testified. “We have done so recognizing that certain areas should be exempted from leasing, or have seasonal drilling restrictions imposed to protect whale migrations.

We have done so because we recognize the significance OCS development will have on the nation’s and the state’s economic and energy future. We have done so because we know oil and gas development can occur appropriately, while protecting the environment, the species and the people impacted. We have proven this can be done.

“The fact that Alaska’s OCS potential to produce oil and gas is world-class is supported by the best peer reviewed scientific estimates. Alaska’s oil and gas resources can and should be a major part of the implementation of any creditable energy plan for our nation.

Alaska has proven that these resources can be developed safely, but Arctic exploration and development is a slow, demanding process. Delays or major restrictions in accessing these resources for environmentally responsible development are not in the national interest or the interests of the State of Alaska.”

Governor Palin returned to Juneau after her testimony. A copy of the governor’s official remarks submitted to the Secretary of the Interior can be found at: http://www.gov.state.ak.us/pdf/GovPalinRemarks-SectSalazar_Apr14-2009.pdf

Your quote has nothing to do with the AP statement about "mitigation".

There's no direct quote about natural gas mitigating GW effects. Who's doing the Clintonese parsing? You. Nice try.
