Did The One really think this would only happen once, especially given the fact he is promising the captured pirate a life like he has never known (air conditioned, 3-meals a day, clean sheets, TV, etc).

Until The One goes after the pirates and attacks them relentlessly on land, this will never end. Just use airpower, like Clinton, make the rocks bounce, there are no innocent people in areas controlled by the pirates.

Of course, if this reported hijacking is false, then well. . . .just do it anyway as a message to those that would attack America.
