Wonder how it feels to know that something you did resulted in a) the Presidential nominee from your own party losing significant support from that party's own base, b) the jailing of two men under horrific conditions that resulted in their injury, c) the President of the United States coming under routine and repeated political attack
from his own Congressmen, resulting finally in d) the President of the United States having to finally give in and commute the sentences of the two jailed men.
Really must feel, umm....weird.
Of course, Sutton may not feel anything.
Which I suspect is the answer to why he did it in the first place.
He's a damn fish.

Just thinking like a conspiracy theory novelist here, but it might feel really good if this was the role assigned to him by the bipartisan consiracy that runs America (hypothetically speaking, of course), and he played it well.
"A job well done" might be what he is thinking.
Heck, Jamie Gorelick did very well financially with Fannie Mae after helping to sabotage our national security through her ill-advised Justice Dept policy -- The Gorelick Wall.
Failures can do very well in our society.

I don’t think Sutton did anything without Bush’s approval. The fish stinks from the head.
