Obama's Recovery Is Not Your Recovery

...

How [Obama] defines recovery may be far different from any definition we've come to expect. Most of us would define recovery as GDP growth, rising employment, higher incomes and a stock market going up 10% a year. Not so Mr. Obama, apparently. Each day it becomes clearer that he has a different idea of recovery.

President Obama believes America must "recover" from its sin and addiction. According to Obama the national sin is greed, and the national addiction is to cheap energy. Google "Obama on greed" and you get 7,570,000 hits. Read Obama's campaign book, The Audacity of Hope, and you get the secular equivalent of the Bible's Book of Revelation: "If the prospect of melting ice caps, rising sea levels, changing weather patterns, more frequent hurricanes, more violent tornadoes, endless dust storms, decaying forests, dying coral reefs and increases in respiratory illness and insect-borne diseases--if that doesn't constitute a serious threat, I don't know what does."

Like all good preachers, Obama paints a vivid picture of hell. Like any true believer, he harbors no doubt. From The Audacity of Hope: "Just about every scientist outside of the [Bush] White House says global warming is real, is serious, and is accelerated by the continued release of carbon dioxide." Not true, Mr. President. The alarmist view of global warming is far from a consensus. The list of scientists who doubt your alarmist scenario grows by the month.

The drums are beating, too bad his cannon fodder cannot find Texas on a US map...I like our chances...

Logic will override Dopey-Changey and his Cro-Magnon wife.

When you can fly in a pizza chef from St Louis and your wife has a full time make-up artist I’d say the 0bama economy is going great.

It’s just the rest of us be damned.

Yep, get my 10% salary cut starting 4/24. With lower wages and rising taxes I'm going to hope the grocery store will change their oppressive capitalist ways and take an IOU this weekend.

I can believe it’s not our recovery. I am looking at all the taxes I paid this year.

I notice that the market tumbled (again) today when der Eichel Fuhrer gave his talk about economists being in total agreement that the only way out of a recession is government spending on ‘tomorrow's schools’ and protecting bad mortgages.

Sorry about the 14%. I took 10% in February. Next year I’ll get to top it off with higher taxes too! I feel patriotic.....
