I just got back from Iceland this morning..very early....and am getting up to date on the new of all kinds here in the US as there was no news to get there..and I dont read Icelandic though I do know a few words. I can tell you that to the person over there they like Obama..they think he is good and they think Bush will go down in history as one of the worst presidents we have had.Only one man said his aunt who lives in LA and has been here since 68 said she hates Obama and that she is republican...don’t know if she can vote since I don’t know if she became a citizen. By the way when I got to Iceland last summer the rate was no higher than 80 ISK to the dollar,When I got there the first it was 116 and yesterday 131..good for us to shop there but not good to exchange our funds back..
Anyway. I told them there are some here who see Obama and his plans as Hitler like and they don’t see it and even stupid Americans don’t see it because the MSM does not report it.We are is such deep dodo.
I spent considerable time in Europe during the 80’s and Iceland along with Ireland are a couple of the places I regret not getting to visit. Your observation concerning the tastes of many Europeans as to Obama is just a real world example of birds of a feather flocking together. The thing I noticed most about Europe is the pessimism that is prevalent in the population. When you remove the incentive to be productive that is what happens. I have no doubt that though our countrys situation may look dire at the moment and might get worse there will always be a tomorrow for America. I base that belief not on anything the media says but on the eternal fire of optimism that is the American way.
” I can tell you that to the person over there they like Obama..they think he is good and they think Bush will go down in history as one of the worst presidents we have had.”
They are WRONG about Obama and RIGHT about George Bush.
But of the entire tribe of western European socialist idiots, the Scandanvians are the most degenerate.
