CNN Polling Director Keating Holland pointed out the partisan divide evident in the results. “By a 53 percent to 46 percent margin, Republicans agree with Dick Cheney,” he said. “But more than nine in 10 Democrats believe that Obama has not made the country less safe from terrorism. They are joined by more than seven in 10 independents who don’t see an increase in the threat from terrorism since Obama took office.”

Unfortunately, it take something major to get the attention of most Americans to help us form an opinion that looks more like reality instead of the fantasy we want our world to be.

These people are going to continue in this belief right up to the point where they are vaporized by a Russian or Chinese nuclear weapon from a massive first strike. Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.
So then if one were to stand upwind and spit into a crowd, there’s a 72% chance you will hit the deserving target. Check.
Why do you think things like WWII happened? Do you think it’s because the American people and their political “leaders” were being particularly smart?
Republicans, RNC and those holding political offices, are doing a lousy job of regularly communicating with their constituents with honest, accurate information as to what is going on in the nation. This really should be a constant endeavor without pulling any punches.
The Democrats all do it, while the Republicans sit in silence.
The American people want to believe the dem and repub parties are roughly equal, that they can throw one out for the other and nothing really bad happens. They also want to believe that if the Prez looks like a nice young guy everything is just fine and of course he would never make them less safe.
Unfortunately they are wrong, policies matter. But if Americans felt that way we would have had presidents Dole, McCain, etc. They don’t feel that way.
Honestly the Buffoon-in-Chief is going to enter into endless negotiations with Iran. While Iran stalls in these negotiations they will go all out with their nuclear program. Once they have nukes, they will shut down the Straits of Hormuz, blackmail other oil-producing states, probably attack Israel, and supply terrorists too just for good measure. Oh yeah, I feel safer with BHO and Hillary Clinton running foreign policy.
Are there no adults left in our government? In the nation?
