i kind of think Hannity is a hack. I wish he would have been upset about all this spending when Bush was president. Beck is through and through conservative though. Also Gingrich isn’t much of an appeal. All the other guests are great.

No republican hacks, conservatives only! :)

Hannity has broad appeal, he is needed.

Ginrich is out to en(Gin)rich his political capitol, jumping on the band wagon hitched up to animals other than a donkey or elephant.

Yes, this is a bit of a tricky situation. Some Republicans/conservatives were somewhat silent about the rampant spending and growth in government under Bush. Some did speak out. Most were probably like me and those I've worked with/associated with.

We DID speak out and oppose it - just as we did with amnesty - but we also "took what we could get" in terms of lower taxes and strong national defense.

I do concede the point though that some on the Left raise when they say there wasn't an organized pushback against Bush and congressional Republicans for domestic spending and growth in government. It did take place, the resistance was passive. And now the GOP is paying the price. I hope they learn their lesson. They really sullied their brand and set back the conservative movement and made it hard to have clarity in opposing big-spending, tax-increasing, socialistic policies of Obama/Pelosi/Reid now.

“I wish he would have been upset about all this spending when Bush was president.”

Hannity spoke very harshly against many of Bush’s programs; he was not a cheerleader for Bush across the board.
